Readers often ask me about my pets. The first photo here is of Moonie, the little tortoise I had when I was seven or eight. Then came Inky Number 1 - a fiend in feline form!
When my children came along, we ended up getting them a cat each: Inky Number 2 (also a fiend) and Jet.
Kenna came next - a bouncy Labrador full of fun! Her brother Louis is identical to her and just as crazy. And my sister's Red Lab, Teasel is a good friend of Kenna's and barking mad as well.
Just to make life even more complicated, we have chickens too. Sadly our first three chickens, pictured above, were taken away by Not-so-Fantastic Mr Fox and his family earlier this year. But we have recently acquired three more: a Welsummer called Hazel, an Arucana called Chi-Chi (who lays blue eggs!) and a Lavender Pekin called Titch (well, she is just that - a titch!) They are just as adorable as the three we lost, and I will make sure I get some photos up on the website soon. They are a bit camera-shy just now, so we are leaving them to settle in to their new home.
