PUPPY POWER was going to be the last ever book in the series, as it's the story about Honey growing up and having puppies of her own. But I fell in love with all her pups, so now I'm writing another book called PUPPY PARTY which will feature some of them as well as Honey and the human characters from the other books.
My dog, Kenna, has not had puppies, but one of my cousins is a dog breeder, so I was able to ask her for lots of top tips about breeding.
And of course I remember what it was like going to the breeder to choose Kenna when she was a newborn pup! The first time we saw her she was only four weeks old - such a tiny, cute, fat little barrel! She was the greediest of her litter, kicking her brothers and sisters out of the way to get to her mother's milk. She hasn't changed that much, as she is still very greedy indeed, but she gets lots of exercise to keep her fit!
In this book, Summer's mum is not at all sure about letting Honey have puppies as she is worried about how much work it will be. But Summer is a very Persistent and Persuasive person!
