WORLD BOOK DAY was utterly and totally faberoony this year. It turned out to be more of a WORLD BOOK FORTNIGHT in actual fact! First of all I was lucky enough to meet fellow authors Gillian Cross and Paul Cookson who both came to give scrumlumptious talks and workshops at my kids' school. If you want to find out more, check out my blog by clicking on the link.
On the day itself I did a couple of events for Pritchard's in Merseyside. It was a wonderful day in which Tony Higginson and the lovely people at the library looked after me superbly well.
The excitement came to a head at the Aye Write Festival in Glasgow. I got to meet my amazing illustrator, Moira Munro, for the first time. She is even more lovely in real life than she is in her emails. (Although she does like an argument . . . Take a look at my blog to find out why!)
Moira and I did some workshops with local school children and performed bits and pieces from the books we've done together. If you want to find out more about Moira Munro and her beeeeeeooooootiful illustrations, click on the link!
